Pure ESM package

Pure ESM package

The package that linked you here is now pure ESM. It cannot be require()'d from CommonJS.

This means you have the following choices:

  1. Use ESM yourself. (preferred)
    Use import foo from 'foo' instead of const foo = require('foo') to import the package. You also need to put "type": "module" in your package.json and more. Follow the below guide.
  2. If the package is used in an async context, you could use await import(…) from CommonJS instead of require(…).
  3. Stay on the existing version of the package until you can move to ESM.

React Native Storybook
import addons from '@storybook/addons';
import { createMockChannel } from 'src/test/storybook/storyshots/mockChannel';
//
// This runs to mock things required for the jest snapshot of a story
//
// In generated test, import this straight as `import 'src/test/storybook/storyshots/setupSnapshotTest'`
// Then require mocked storybook methods
// `const { configure, getStorybook } = require('@storybook/react-native');`

Upload a file using the WordPress REST API

Upload files

Using the REST API to upload a file to WordPress is quite simple. All you need is to send the file in a POST-Request to the wp/v2/media route.

There are two ways of sending a file. The first method simply sends the file in the body of the request. The following PHP script shows the basic principle:

React Native on macOS Sierra

React Native Trouble

Updating to macOS Sierra is causing trouble with React Native due to some of the Node.js and system utilities it uses. Specifically the watch utility fails due to a limit on the number of files which can be opened at a time.

The following command shows the current limit.

launchctl limit maxfiles
