Stepper is an app made by Adam Whitcroft. It helps you track your steps, follow your progress, and build a daily walking habit, with data processed locally on your device.
We do not receive your health data or photos through Stepper. Stepper does not use advertising networks, analytics tools, or AI services, and we do not sell your personal information.
With your permission, Stepper reads your step count, walking and running distance, and related dates from Apple Health. This information powers your activity history, totals, goals, streaks, and sticker rewards. Distance access is optional.
Stepper only reads this information. It does not add, change, or delete data in Apple Health.
You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app. Revoking access does not automatically delete information already saved by Stepper.
Stepper saves your activity history, step totals, daily goals, sticker unlocks, and preferences locally so you can continue where you left off. Step summaries are also stored locally for Stepper’s widgets.
This information remains on your device as needed to provide these features. You can remove Stepper’s saved data by deleting the app using Delete App in Settings. Offloading the app keeps its saved data. Deleting Stepper does not delete your Apple Health data or images you have saved to Photos.
Optional daily reminders and sticker notifications are handled locally. You can turn them off in Stepper or your device’s notification settings.
You can choose a photo to use as the background of a share card. Stepper uses Apple’s photo picker and receives only the photo you select, without access to your full library. The selected photo is processed on your device.
Stepper shares a card only when you choose to use the share feature. The image includes the activity information, photo, and sticker shown in its preview. It is passed to the app or destination you choose, which handles it under its own privacy practices.
You can also use the share feature to save a card to Photos.
Apple manages Health and Photos syncing according to your iCloud settings. Some of Stepper’s saved app data, such as preferences and step summaries, may also be included in device backups.
Backups and iCloud services are managed by Apple under Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not have access to them.

We may update this policy as Stepper changes. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date.
