Update firmware WD Black SN770 firmware on Arch Linux

Been having problems with my new SN770 drive, and decided to check if I can firmware update it on Linux. WD only provides a Windows tool, Western Digital Dashboard to download and install firmwares, but, it's possible to find the firmware and install it using Linux tooling as well.

1. Check that `nvme-cli` is installed:

❱ sudo pacman -S nvme-cli

Offline-Install macOS Ventura/Sonoma as a VM on Unraid Server using AMD Ryzen 9 5950x + RX 6600 XT

Installation Preparation

Tools and packages are from OSX-KVM repository.

On Unraid Server

I faced bandwidth issues between a WG Peer and a WG server. Download bandwidth when downloading from WG Server to WG peer was reduced significantly and upload bandwidth was practically non existent.
I found a few reddit posts that said that we need to choose the right MTU. So I wrote a script to find an optimal MTU.
Ideally I would have liked to have run all possible MTU configurations for both WG Server and WG Peer but for simplicity I choose to fix the WG Server to the original 1420 MTU and tried all MTUs from 1280 to 1500 for the WG Peer.

Testing

On WG server, I started an iperf3 server
On WG peer, I wrote a script that does the following:
- wg-quick down wg0
Edit MTU in the /etc/wireguard/wg0.conf file

Proxmox - SPICE client setup for MacOS

Install a working (and compiled) version of virt-viewer. You may view the homebrew package's upstream source on GitHub.

Once that's installed should be able make a call remote-viewer with a pve-spice.vv file downloaded from proxmox web interface

Introduction

Docker.app will complain about incompatible processor, so we will use Docker Machine.

Instalation

Download Docker for Mac (Docker.app). It contains some binaries that are necessary.
