Follow the instructions on Github to Create an Access Token in Github
By default, git credentials are not cached so you need to tell Git if you want to avoid having to provide them each time Github requires you to authenticate. On Mac, Git comes with an “osxkeychain” mode, which caches credentials in the secure keychain that’s attached to your system account.
You can tell Git you want to store credentials in the osxkeychain by running the following:-
/* Produces a dump on the state of WordPress when a not found error occurs */
/* useful when debugging permalink issues, rewrite rule trouble, place inside functions.php */
ini_set( 'error_reporting', -1 );
ini_set( 'display_errors', 'On' );
echo '<pre>'; | |
add_action( 'parse_request', 'debug_404_rewrite_dump' );
function debug_404_rewrite_dump( &$wp ) { |
The repository for the assignment is public and Github does not allow the creation of private forks for public repositories.
The correct way of creating a private frok by duplicating the repo is documented here.
For this assignment the commands are:
- Create a bare clone of the repository.
(This is temporary and will be removed so just do it wherever.)
git clone --bare [email protected]:usi-systems/easytrace.git
#!/bin/bash | |
