Sheherd is a personal safety app that helps users create trusted circles, start check-ins, share location during safety sessions, and send emergency alerts to selected contacts.
Sheherd may collect the following information when you use the app:
- Account information such as your email address and profile details.
- Trusted-circle information, emergency contacts, check-ins, and safety-session details that you create in the app.
- Location information when you grant location permission and use location-sharing, check-in, map, Shadow Me, or emergency features.
- Camera, microphone, photo, video, and uploaded media only when you choose to use app features that capture or upload media.
- Device and notification information needed to deliver app notifications and support app functionality.
We use this information to provide Sheherd's core safety features, including account access, trusted circles, check-ins, emergency alerts, location sharing, media capture, notifications, fraud prevention, security, debugging, and support.
Sheherd shares information only as needed to operate the app, such as with infrastructure providers that host authentication, database, storage, maps, messaging, and notification services, and with the trusted contacts or circles you choose to share with through app features. We do not sell personal information.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data, including encrypted transport for data sent between the app and our services.
Users can request deletion of their account and associated app data by emailing designedforusers@gmail.com from the email address used for the Sheherd account. Include "Sheherd account deletion" in the subject. Verified deletion requests are normally processed within 30 days unless retention is required for security, legal, or fraud-prevention reasons.
