This standalone script starts one Salt master and one DeltaProxy controller with
one built-in dummy child. It compares delivery of test.ping using ordinary
glob, list, regex, and compound targeting. No extensions or devices are required.
Use a disposable Linux environment with Python 3.11. The script can run as an ordinary user: it binds loopback high ports and preaccepts its own temporary keys.
Standalone reproduction using actual master/proxy daemons and Salt's built-in
dummy proxies. No appliance connections or Cisco extension APIs are used.
Run using a complete Salt 3008.4 Python environment:
