Thank you for considering contributing to Hashbrown! To keep our project healthy and easy to share, we ask all contributors to agree to the following terms.
- You – the individual or legal entity (and its affiliates) making a contribution.
- Hashbrown – the open-source framework maintained by LiveLoveApp, including all related repositories.
- Contribution – any work you submit to Hashbrown (code, documentation, tests, issue reports, design assets, etc.).
- Submitted – conveyed to Hashbrown via pull requests, commits, issues, mail, or any other communication.
By submitting a Contribution, you grant everyone a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to:
- Reproduce, modify, distribute, publicly display or perform, and sublicense your Contribution;
- Prepare derivative works based on your Contribution.
You retain ownership of your work—you’re just giving Hashbrown the rights it needs to grow and be shared.
If you own any patents that cover your Contribution, you also grant Hashbrown users and maintainers a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free patent license to:
- Make, use, sell, offer for sale, import, and otherwise transfer your Contribution (and works derived from it).
If you end up in a patent lawsuit over your Contribution, your license to that party ends automatically when the lawsuit is filed.
You confirm that:
- Your Contribution is your original work, or
- It builds upon work already under an open-source license that allows you to re-license it here, or
- You’ve clearly noted any third-party code/assets and their licenses.
All Contributions are provided “as is.” Hashbrown and its maintainers disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
By submitting a Contribution, you’re agreeing to the above terms. Thanks again for helping make Hashbrown better! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out in our maintainers’ chat or open an issue.
