/tg/station denies pepper's appeal

https://forums.tgstation13.org/viewtopic.php?p=790643#p790643

As a player, there is a lot of history behind your time here. We don't think you're a bad guy because you disagree with lots of admins about how the game should be run and facilitated on tgstation when you played here, but the fact of the matter is that you seem to have burned a lot of bridges with people in and out of the admin team, enough to gather quite a big vocal opposition to your unban despite our investigation.

Following on from that, we don't believe that it's accurate to say that you were intentionally trying to burn admins out. We feel that the ban reason placed on you is vague and unfair in not only describing the matter honestly, but also in taking accountability for the decision to remove you from this space. Therefore, we are amending your ban reason to:

After a very long amount of time participating in this community in both good and bad ways, the headmins have decided that we cannot facilitate the needs and playstyle of this player and request that they find somewhere else to play that is better suited to them. We would like to request that other servers do not use this removal as an indication of bad character on this player's part, but rather an inability for us to facilitate this player's requirements.

ie: "you are too unpopular with the admins but nobody can articulate why or justify a removal so we word salad'ed some corpo-speak bullshit together to cover our asses."

with how much I fucking hated, (and still hate) amelia for her attitudes about men and mras the fact I allowed her to become an admin should speak volumes compared to this immature ass administration.

There is no legitimate reason to keep it in place.

Let me just remind you: pepper got banned and blacklisted by me purely because I confused him for somebody else and was afraid of the idea of somebody like that (this somebody else would act buddy buddy with people in pms on an alt to get them to reveal emotional trauma (including shit like sa/csa) and then publicize it to their discord in order for the people there to mock them for it) winning the next headmin election. (pepper placed 2nd or 3rd on the previous one.)

Without that confusion I would have denied the headmins request to blacklist him.

The main reason, in my mind at the time, the headmins and the admins wanted to blacklist pepper was not liking how much he called us (tg admins) out on our shit. Pepper placing high in the previous headmin election was specifically mentioned in the headmin channel at the time, it was commonly brought up in the admin channels, and the claims of people who would step down if it happened was high. (to be fair, the same was true of keith5 and almost nobody did when he was elected)

The fact that being blacklisted would preclude him from running as a head admin was specifically brought up in the headmin channel during the time.

These two things factored against blacklisting him in my mind, and primary thing that caused me to push past the gut feeling that catering to their attitudes towards pepper and fear that he almost won the election was a bad idea was the emotional catfishing stuff I confused from another (now banned) player.

So to see them deny this appeal is confusing other than the obvious rationalization of their behavior.

The headmins are cowards and need a infusion of some hbl energy.

Another thing I've noticed is just how many final word ban appeals there are now.

Remember when admins would leave ban appeals open for 72 hours after giving their final word to allow the appealer the opportunity to contest their reasoning? Instead of locking it after giving their ruling so they could enforce having the final word?

Not even I was that immature. :3
