Settings and "tricks" on Discord that you want to remember. Not in any order.

Private Profile

You can set your profile to private and only show it to friends and optionally small servers. The following will be hidden:

  • Custom Status
  • Pronouns
  • Badges
  • Activity
  • Connected accounts
  • Bio
  • Widgets
  • Wishlists

What will not be hidden:

  • Avatar
  • Banner
  • Display name
  • Username
  • Server tag
  • Account age
  • Mutual friends and servers

There is no way to toggle specific fields.

You maybe enable this by going to Settings -> Data & Privacy and see the three toggle under "Share my full profile with". You can choose to:

  • Not hide it
  • Hide it from everyone except friends and servers with more than 200 members
  • Hide it from everyone except friends

Now Bar

  • You can swipe from left to right to go to the last DM and again to go back to the last channel that you were in.
  • You can hold your avatar to quickly open settings.
  • You can click the anywhere on the bar to open your profile.
  • You can hold the middle section to quickly open a menu to change your online status or custom status.

Share when you come online

This is enabled by default and allows your friends to get a notification whenever you get online. You can enable or disable this by going to Settings -> Content & Social and toggling "Share when I come online" status.

Share when you update your profile

This is enabled by default and allows your friends to get a notification whenever you change something on your profile, like your avatar. You can enable or disable this by going to Settings -> Data & Privacy and toggling "Share when I update my profile"
