How to Configure IRedMail for Outlook (2023)

This guide was created using the default setup of IRedMail on a server.

1. Create new email address on IRedMail

2. Create a new account on Outlook with above email address using the legacy dialog.

File > Account Settings > Manage Profiles > Email Accounts > New
Important: Check "Let me set up my account manually"

3. Select the account type as IMAP

4. Under IMAP ACCOUNT SETTINGS, set the following parameters:

Incoming & Outgoing Mail Server: Your MailServer IP
Incoming Mail Server PORT: 993
Incoming Mail Server Encryption: SSL/TLS
Outgoing Mail Server PORT: 587
Outgoing Mail Server Encryption: STARTTLS
Do not enable/check "Require login using Secure Password Authentication (SPA).

5. Add Account

Select "Next".
If password prompted, use the password specified in IRedAdmin when the account was created.
Dismiss any "Internet Security Warning" certificate. (It can be added to computer "Trust Root Certificate Store" to avoid it from coming up in the future)
