Tax Login Assist helps users log in to supported tax portals by securely storing and auto-filling login credentials.
All stored data is encrypted using AES-256 and remains on your device.
The following data is stored locally:
- Encrypted login credentials
- A master password (not stored; used only to derive the encryption key)
- A randomly generated anonymous usage identifier
This data is not transmitted to any external server.
This extension collects limited, non-identifiable usage events (for example: extension opened or login button clicked) to improve functionality and performance.
These analytics events:
- Do not include credentials or personal information
- Are transmitted securely to PostHog for analytics processing
- Are not sold and are not shared for advertising purposes
Analytics data is used solely for product improvement and not for advertising or profiling.
- Plaintext passwords
- Login credentials in readable form
- Personal identity information
Uninstalling the extension or using Reset Vault permanently deletes all locally stored data.
Users are responsible for exporting backups before deletion.
