This privacy notice describes how we handle your information when you use our mobile application ("the App"), which provides access to Quranic text, translations, Hadith collections, duas, and prayer times.

You do not need to create an account to use the App. We collect no personal identifiers such as your name, email, or phone number.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

None – the App has no sign‑ups, forms, or input fields that ask for personal data.

Information collected automatically (anonymous only):

Usage data: Which surahs, duas, or Hadith chapters are viewed – aggregated and anonymized. Cannot be traced to you.

Device type & OS version: Only for crash reporting and compatibility.


Location data (future update – optional):

In a future version of the App, we may add a feature that requests approximate location (coarse location, based on network).

Purpose: To automatically calculate accurate prayer times, Qibla direction, and local Ramadan schedules for your city or region.

Control: You will see a clear permission popup. You can deny it and still use the App – you can manually select a city from a list instead.

Storage: Location data is used only on your device for real‑time calculations. It is not uploaded to our servers or stored anywhere.

Current version: As of this policy update, the App does not request location. This section describes our intended future improvement.

What we do NOT collect:

No names, emails, phone numbers, or passwords

No IP addresses linked to your identity

No advertising identifiers

No precise GPS location (only approximate, and only if you grant permission in a future update)

2. How We Use Your Information
Because we collect no personal data, we use only:

Anonymous usage stats → to improve navigation and fix crashes

Location (future, if you permit) → solely for prayer times, Qibla, and Ramadan timetables on your device. Never transmitted.

We never use your data for marketing, profiling, or selling.


3. Legal Basis for Processing (UAE PDPL)

Under UAE PDPL, since we do not collect personal data (and location, if added, stays on your device with your explicit permission), the law’s requirements for consent are satisfied by the system‑level permission prompt.

If location is ever transmitted to our servers (which we have no current plan to do), we will update this policy and ask for separate consent.

4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade any information.

Sharing that may occur in the future:
None – location data is processed entirely on your device. We do not share it with any third party, including prayer time APIs (those only receive your manually selected city, not your live location).

Current sharing (anonymous only):

Crash reporting service (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) – receives anonymized technical data with no user identifier.

Required by UAE law – not applicable, as we store no personal data.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The App does not use cookies, web beacons, pixels, or cross‑app tracking.

6. Cross‑Border Data Transfers
Anonymized crash reports may be processed outside the UAE. Because they cannot identify you, UAE PDPL cross‑border rules do not apply.

Location data (future): Never transferred outside your device, so no cross‑border transfer occurs.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information
Anonymous usage statistics: retained indefinitely in aggregate only.

Individual logs: automatically deleted after 30 days.

Location data (future): Not stored by us – it exists only momentarily on your device for calculations.

If you email us for support, messages are deleted after 90 days.

8. How We Keep Your Information Safe
We secure the App with:

No storage of personal data on device or servers

Location permission asked only at runtime, with clear explanation

If you grant location, the App uses Android's / iOS's built‑in permission controls – you can revoke anytime in system settings

9. Children’s Privacy
The App is suitable for all ages. No personal data is collected from anyone, including children under 18.

10. Your Privacy Rights (UAE PDPL)
You have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Because we collect none, there is nothing to act upon.

If you contact us directly (email), you may request deletion of that correspondence – we will honor it within 30 days.

Location permission control: You can grant or revoke location permission at any time via your device settings → Apps → [Your App Name] → Permissions.

11. Do‑Not‑Track
The App does not track you across apps or websites.

12. Updates to This Notice
We may update this privacy policy, especially when we add the location feature. The "Last updated" date below will change. For significant changes (like adding location), we will notify you with an in‑app notice before the update.
