✏️ UX Sketching and Prototyping 101 πŸ“„

img_1058

πŸ’» We spend way too much time in front of screens and in meetings. Writing and talking are limited tools and they don't do the best job showing what we mean.

✍️ Sketching with pen and paper to the rescue: it's fast, cheap and mobile. It helps clearing up misunderstandings before they happen. It informs conversations and speeds up design, prioritisation and decision making processes.

πŸ§žβ€β™€οΈ The best thing: anybody can learn the basics in an hour. You're "not a visual type"? You "cannot a draw a straight line if your life depended on it"? This workshop was designed specifically for you <3

πŸ’‘ You'll learn about:

  • Typography, shapes and interface basics
  • Hierarchy and clarity
  • Connecting sketches into clickdummies

πŸ‘ Designers: this might be more of a refresher for you if you sketch on a regular basis – please bring your PO/PM/Consultant/developer friends!

? As an attendee, what do I need to bring or prepare?

  • please bring curiosity and an open mind
  • please install the app "Marvel" on your phone. You can find the links for iOS and Android at marvelapp.com/apps/

That's it!

? As an organiser, what is needed to have this workshop at my meetup?

  • 120 minutes time slot (90 minutes workshop time plus 30 minutes break)
  • Pen and paper for all attendees (nothing special, any kind of pen and paper will do)
  • Flipchart
  • Beamer (HDMI)
  • Wednesday, Thursday or Friday are possible
