Backyard is a verified-neighborhood social app. The service is not directed to children under 13, and account creation requires users to confirm they are at least 13 years old.
Backyard prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming or sexual solicitation of minors, sexualized content involving minors, sextortion, trafficking, or any attempt to endanger a child.
Users can report posts, comments, marketplace listings, documents, rules, routines, direct-message participants, and other members from inside the app. The report flow includes an Illegal content option for urgent child-safety or other illegal-content concerns. Users may also contact support@bkyd.app.
Reported content is routed to a moderation queue for review by authorized community moderators and operators. Backyard may remove content, suspend or eject members, block abusive users from contacting or seeing one another, and preserve report records for safety review.
Backyard reviews child-safety reports promptly and reports apparent CSAM or child exploitation to the appropriate regional or national authorities, including NCMEC and law enforcement where required by law. We cooperate with lawful requests related to child safety investigations.
Backyard uses age confirmation, verified-neighbor communities, in-app reporting, blocking, moderation tooling, account deletion controls, and operator escalation for illegal-content reports to reduce harm and support child safety.
