VSCode XDebug with php 7.4 fpm

vscode-xdebug.txt

first install xdebug:
sudo apt-get install php7.4-xdebug

edit config file with the following, also check the zend version (20190902) if it is different on your machine:
sudo nano /etc/php/7.4/mods-available/xdebug.ini

zend_extension="/usr/lib/php/20190902/xdebug.so"
xdebug.mode = debug
xdebug.start_with_request = yes
xdebug.discover_client_host = 1
xdebug.remote_handler = dbgp
xdebug.remote_host = 127.0.0.1
xdebug.remote_log = /tmp/xdebug_remote.log
xdebug.remote_mode = req
xdebug.remote_port = 9099

restart the service
sudo service php7.4-fpm restart

install VSCode PHP Debug extenstion by Felix Becker and create new debug file with the following
