Better Grammar for Adults is a grammar practice app available on iOS, Android, macOS, and the web. Your privacy matters, and this app is designed to keep your data under your control. Here's exactly what the app does and doesn't do with your information.
All of your progress and preferences — including known rules, mastered rules, your practice bank, selected region (US / UK / AU English), and settings — are stored locally on your device using SharedPreferences (or equivalent local storage on web). This data is never uploaded to any server.
If you uninstall the app or clear its data, this information will be lost.
The grammar curriculum is entirely built in. You never type or submit any custom text, words, or sentences that leave your device. Everything you tap, type, or edit while practising stays on the device.
The app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to read sentences aloud (when enabled). No audio is recorded, stored, or transmitted.
The app offers a single non-consumable in-app purchase for the full curriculum. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play Store). We do not receive, process, or store any payment or billing information.
When you complete a purchase, the app sends the purchase token (issued by Apple or Google, not by you) to our receipt-validation server at iap-validator.kaiserapps.com so we can confirm the purchase is legitimate. The token contains no personal information beyond what is needed to verify the transaction with Apple or Google.
For details on how Apple or Google handle your payment data, please refer to their respective privacy policies:
- No user accounts or login — there is nothing to sign up for.
- No analytics or tracking — we don't collect usage statistics.
- No advertising — there are no ads in the app.
- No cookies — the web version does not use cookies.
- No data sharing with third parties — apart from purchase-token validation and payment processing handled by Apple/Google, no data leaves your device.
This app is designed for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.
If this privacy policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Since we don't collect contact information, we have no way to notify you directly — so please check back occasionally.
