The zip passwords were quickly found using the strings command. The password for each model consists of the model name followed by !LGahslxjqlalfqjsgh!@#:

I've only found v3.04 and v3.10 for the 27MD5KA so far:

I'll see if I can brute force the path with ffuf or something for the 27MD5KL variant.

I have tried downloading these but it says they need a password. I have LG5k Ultrafine. Ever since ive updated to sonoma 14.7 it doesnt work. still works on all macbooks with Monterey

The passwords in the gist should still work. If they don’t, run the strings command on the zip file from your terminal and free for your model number for the password.

Is there any way to upload firmware from one 27MD5KL and download it to another 27MD5KL?

LG Screen manager immediately fails to update with these files. Is there some other way to apply the firmware updates individually after unzipping the contents?

LG screen manager fails to install for one of my monitors. I noticed that it shows up as Hardware DDC controlled vs Apple Native like the other ones. Is there anyway to install the firmware without the LG Screen Manager app (tried setting open with rosetta as well)?
