This script is no long maintained, however i do have a friend who has made a far better solution to this problem!

I had issues running this and also issues with the coding style/strange language used by the maintainer so I made my alternative. its both on a gist and a github repo:

It seems that the current patch script (patch.sh) might be outdated or no longer working with the latest version of CrossOver. When running the installation command, the trial period doesn't seem to extend to 9999 days anymore.

Could you please look into this and update the repository with a working script when you have some free time?

Hello, I appreciate your generosity, but currently I do not have time to test. But, I have made an edit to the script to try and dynamically find the CrossOver app to patch, please try out this script version and let me know what changes. Thank you!

I received this error even after downloading git with hombrew

fatal: could not create work tree dir 'crossover_patch': Operation not permitted
bruh u dont have git installed, so we gon do some manual downlaoding instead
