also according to this if its a gen8 - https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=c03369047&page=GUID-BC9621D3-85D1-489F-A8EE-D2C0A239846E.html "Either a minimum of 256MB cache and battery kit or a minimum of 512MB BBWC/FBWC is required to enable RAID 5, 50, 6, 60. HP Smart Array Advanced Pack (SAAP 2.0) is no longer required to enable 6 & 60 (Advanced Data Guarding). However, controller must be in firmware version 4.68 (or later)" Have you updated the firmware yet to see if it helps?
The firmware is up to date (8.32), I'm asking if someone has got a SmartCache license as my RAID controller is a P420i.
Here is a license: 36Z2J-8TJG8-M6XH4-6YWKB-WXM36
That p410 license key is bound to the serial number of your own specific device. Every other p410 has a different serial number, therefore no other card will accept this as a valid license. This works only on your unique card. There are clever motherf.ers working at HP, if its about milking their customers, so dont have high hopes you can find any working license for this shitty p410 card anywhere on the entire internet.
@soder10 Damn I didn't knew that at the time that sucks but as I already said multiple times I am better of with Dell, fuck HP.
