ohmail Contributor License Agreement — TrafficFlow GmbH

ohmail Contributor License Agreement

TrafficFlow GmbH, Zürich, Switzerland ("we", "us") maintains ohmail.

Thank you for contributing. This agreement sets out the terms on which your contribution is accepted. It is short on purpose. You keep the copyright in what you write — you are giving us permission to use it, not handing it over.

By signing, you agree to the following for all past and future contributions you submit to this project.

1. What counts as a contribution

Any work you deliberately submit to us for inclusion in the project — code, documentation, configuration, designs, translations, or anything else — through a pull request, patch, issue attachment, or any other channel.

It does not include anything you clearly mark, in writing and at the time you submit it, as "Not a Contribution".

2. Copyright licence

You keep your copyright.

You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable licence to reproduce, modify, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense and distribute your contribution and works derived from it.

The right to sublicense matters and is worth stating plainly: it lets us ship your contribution under the project's current licence, and under a different licence later if the project's licensing changes. Without it, one contribution could freeze the whole project's licence.

3. Patent licence

You grant us and everyone who receives the software a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable patent licence to make, use, sell, offer to sell, import and otherwise transfer your contribution, covering only those patent claims you can license that are necessarily infringed by your contribution alone or by combining it with the project.

If anyone starts patent litigation alleging that the project or a contribution infringes a patent, any patent licences granted here to that person terminate as of the date the litigation is filed.

4. What you are confirming

  • The contribution is your original work, or you have the right to submit it under this agreement.
  • To the best of your knowledge, it does not infringe anyone else's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other rights.
  • If your employer has rights to work you produce, you have permission to make this contribution on their behalf, your employer has waived those rights, or your employer has signed a separate agreement with us.
  • If any part of your contribution is not your own work, you have identified it clearly — its source, its licence, and any restrictions — where we can see it.

5. No obligations

You provide your contribution "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, unless you state otherwise in writing.

Nothing here obliges us to accept, merge, use, or keep a contribution. Nothing here obliges you to provide support, updates, or fixes.

6. If something changes

If any fact you confirmed above stops being true, tell us. We would much rather know.

7. Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Switzerland. The courts of Zürich have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
