Thank you for contributing to Bunsen. This lightweight CLA lets you keep ownership of your work while giving the maintainer the rights needed to ship Bunsen under its source-available license, offer separate commercial terms, and move the project to a future Bunsen entity.
By submitting a contribution (a pull request, patch, or any other work) to this project, you agree to the following with Matthew Job Granmoe ("the Maintainer"):
You retain all right, title, and interest in your contribution. This agreement does not transfer your copyright; it grants the licenses below.
You grant the Maintainer, and any successor or assignee permitted by Section 6, a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable copyright license to reproduce, prepare derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, sublicense, and distribute your contribution and derivative works of it, and to license or relicense your contribution under any terms, including the PolyForm Shield License, other source-available licenses, open-source licenses, or commercial/proprietary licenses.
Downstream recipients receive rights to your contribution only under the license terms under which the Maintainer distributes the project to them.
You grant the Maintainer and downstream recipients a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable (except as stated below) patent license to make, have made, use, offer to sell, sell, import, and otherwise transfer your contribution, where such license applies only to patent claims you can license that are necessarily infringed by your contribution alone or by combination of your contribution with the project. If any entity institutes patent litigation alleging that the project or a contribution constitutes patent infringement, the patent licenses granted under this agreement for that contribution terminate.
You represent that: (a) each contribution is your original creation, or you otherwise have the legal right to submit it under this agreement; (b) your contribution does not knowingly violate any third party's copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other rights; and (c) if your employer has rights to intellectual property you create, you have received permission to make the contribution on behalf of that employer, or your employer has waived such rights.
You understand the Maintainer is not obligated to use or include your contribution. Your contribution is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind.
You acknowledge that the Maintainer may assign this agreement and the rights granted under it to any entity that succeeds to, owns, or operates Bunsen or the Maintainer's Bunsen-related business, including a company the Maintainer later forms. Any permitted assignee may exercise all rights granted here.
