Tuned against Shure MV7+ / RODE NT-1 5th gen.
- EasyEffects preset: Mic Filter Experiment 2.1.json
- Converted PipeWire config file: ur44c-in1-exp2.conf
Play around with the high pass filter's cutoff frequency (mine is pretty low to keep most of the sound body, 40~75 Hz is more usual in strictly-speech broadcast situations), slope & quality to achieve different strengths of "elasticity." Characteristic is amplified by the Classic operating mode of the multiband compressor.
Play around with the de-esser's make-up gain if the high end is too aggressive.
For PipeWire config, change capture.props -> target.object to select a different raw signal source.
- EBU R128-based Autogain in the PipeWire version of the preset does not have a way to detect silence - it may amplify background noise to unwanted levels as a result but the noise filter hopefully takes care of most of it for most applications
- The PipeWire version is intentionally made to use mono plugin versions instead - EasyEffects implicitly uses the stereo versions though so the resulting audio may not be the exact same
