Sorry, something went wrong.
Since 31august 2026 Debian 11 (Bullseye) reached End Of Life support.
You can replace all sources repos in /etc/apt/sources.list by:
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian bullseye main contrib non-free deb-src http://archive.debian.org/debian bullseye main contrib non-free
deb http://archive.security.debian.org/debian-security bullseye-security main contrib non-free deb-src http://archive.security.debian.org/debian-security bullseye-security main contrib non-free
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates main contrib non-free deb-src http://archive.debian.org/debian bullseye-updates main contrib non-free
deb http://archive.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free deb-src http://archive.debian.org/debian bullseye-backports main contrib non-free
I got the following error
perl : Depends: perl-base (= 5.32.1-4+deb11u3) but 5.32.1-4+deb11u4 is to be installed
when I tried to install git
apt install git
deb http://archive.security.debian.org/debian-security bullseye-security main contrib non-free
Host archive.security.debian.org not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
mattrose@fiesole:~$ host archive.security.debian.org
Host archive.security.debian.org not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
That line doesn't work
Yeah mb. You can remove it.
Actually there is no debian-security archive. (https://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2025/08/msg00415.html?)

Yes, pretty much.
Kinda useful info, ppl asking questions about bullseye-security and debian team doesn't respond:
https://lists.debian.org/debian-mirrors/2026/09/maillist.html#00001
The following sources.list entry works for me and should have the last security updates for bullseye
deb [check-valid-until=no] http://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security/20260901T022952Z/ bullseye-security main contrib non-free

https://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security/20260903T220410Z/ - this one is the last wth deb11 packages
This one is working:

28GB AMD64 only localrepo in /opt/security :) I don't know how long snapshots will be accessible.

You have no problems with http://security.debian.org/debian-security/dists/bullseye-security/ but... try to compare this list http://security.debian.org/debian-security/pool/updates/main/j/jq/ with this list https://snapshot.debian.org/archive/debian-security/20260903T220410Z/pool/updates/main/j/jq/
Try to find any "deb11" package here http://security.debian.org/debian-security/pool/updates/main/
You have no problems with updating metadata of repo, and you have no packages in your system to update from bullseye-security. But... try to install (or reinstall) jq...
Uh oh!
