Remove invalid filename chars from string

invalidfilenamecharremover.cs

                string thestring = "test@/2";
                foreach(var character in Path.GetInvalidFileNameChars())
                {
                        thestring = thestring.Replace(character.ToString(), "");
                }

Any improvements to this would be welcome :D
