An outcome resolves to Yes if the corresponding player wins the adidas Golden Boot, awarded to the top goalscorer of the 2026 FIFA World Cup (hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States). The top goalscorer is the player credited by FIFA with the most goals scored during the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament, including the group stage and all knockout rounds. Only goals scored in regulation and extra time count toward a player's total; goals scored in a penalty shoot-out to decide a match do not count, consistent with FIFA's official scoring records. Where two or more players are tied on goals, the winner is determined by FIFA's official tiebreakers applied in order: (1) the greater number of assists, (2) the fewer minutes played, and (3) the fewer goals scored from the penalty spot, or any other official FIFA tiebreaking procedure used to determine the sole recipient of the award. Exactly one outcome resolves to Yes and all other outcomes resolve to No. An outcome resolves to No once it becomes impossible for the corresponding player to win the Golden Boot. Early No resolution may occur only upon the player's death or upon the winning of the Golden Boot by a different player. The Fallback outcome resolves to Yes if the player who wins the adidas Golden Boot is not one of the other named outcomes in this question. Resolution is based on the first individual officially recognized by FIFA as the winner of the adidas Golden Boot for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Any subsequent replacement, substitution, correction, or reassignment of the award, or any retrospective change to goal totals or match records, after the award has first been officially determined will not change the resolution of this question. All outcomes other than Fallback resolve to No, and Fallback resolves to Yes, if: (a) FIFA does not award an adidas Golden Boot for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, (b) FIFA awards the adidas Golden Boot jointly to more than one player as co-winners, or (c) no player has been officially recognized by FIFA as the winner of the adidas Golden Boot by July 26, 2026 at 23:59 ET. FIFA and official FIFA sources are the primary resolution sources. Independent reputable news sources may be used as fallback sources where official FIFA sources have not published the relevant result. Each named outcome refers to a specific natural person identified by a commonly used name, regardless of nicknames, aliases, abbreviations, shortened forms, transliterations, legal name changes, or other variations of that individual's name. Once resolved, subsequent appeals, corrections, reversals, or reassignments by FIFA or any other body will not affect the market resolution. This market has not been endorsed by FIFA or by adidas.
