Room Temperature (working title)

Pitch

Quickly check the temperature, or general tone/sentiment, of a Slack channel to gauge the morale of a given team or project group.

Problem

It's important for managers to be aware of their team's morale, but time-consuming to keep up to date on every post in a Slack channel. Often times large chunks of messages go unread, and it's easy to miss a big success or major complication.

Solution

This app will provide a daily and weekly snapshot of the sentiment in a specified Slack channel across time, giving managers and the team alike a way to gauge and track general sentiment, as well as identify spikes of positivity or negativity throughout the time-period.

Target Audience

Every day users of Slack. Manangers who use and are on Slack but don't have time to read every post and follow every interaction.
