Historical Record as a John Wayne script
Prompt: "Rewrite this document as the script of John Wayne movie with John Wayne as William Foulks."
Title: Vengeance on Mould Street
INT. FLINT COUNTY COURTROOM - DAY
A somber atmosphere fills the courtroom as JUSTICE WHITMORE, a stern middle-aged man, presides over the witness stand. GABRIEL JONES, a rugged yeoman, stands to testify about the tragic events that occurred in Mould.
JUSTICE WHITMORE
Mr. Jones, please recount the events concerning the death of Ann Foulks, wife of William Foulks of Mould, who is believed to have been killed by John Roberts of Garth Gammon.
GABRIEL JONES
(With a heavy heart)
Well, your honor, it was the 23rd day of this here month of July. I saw John Roberts and John Cadwalader ridin' their horses full gallop up Mould Street. It was the second fair day, and folks were goin' about their business.
Camera cuts to WILLIAM FOULKS, played by John Wayne, sitting in the courtroom with a steely gaze, his jaw clenched.
GABRIEL JONES (CONT'D)
I saw Ann, William's wife, walkin' along the street, mindin' her own business. John Cadwalader was ridin' ahead of John Roberts, and they were movin' fast, like the devil himself was chasin' 'em.
JUSTICE WHITMORE
And then, Mr. Jones?
GABRIEL JONES
Well, sir, John Roberts came so close to Ann that either his horse's shoulder or his knee struck her down. She fell hard upon the pavement, bruised and battered.
Camera cuts to William Foulks' face, a mix of pain and anger as he listens to Gabriel's testimony.
GABRIEL JONES (CONT'D)
I can't say for sure whether it was the horse's shoulder or John Roberts' knee that struck her down, but either way, it led to her demise.
JUSTICE WHITMORE
(Gravely)
Thank you for your testimony, Mr. Jones.
William Foulks stands up, his voice firm and determined.
WILLIAM FOULKS
Your honor, I swear by all that's holy, I'll bring justice to my Ann. John Roberts will answer for what he's done.
The camera pans out as the courtroom buzzes with murmurs, and William Foulks' quest for justice begins.
