Hi, I’m Leo. My mother has beaten the odds against pancreatic cancer for 12 years thanks to an experimental treatment. But if I can’t raise enough for her next cycle, she’ll be permanently removed from the clinical trial—and the cancer will come back. Please help me keep her alive. Every donation or share matters.
Today, I'm reaching out with a heartfelt plea: I need your help to save my mother's life.
In 2013, after returning from the Festival of Lamps, my father and I found my mother, Jamuna, unresponsive—barely breathing and cold to the touch. We rushed her to the hospital through pouring rain, desperate to keep her alive. There, we received the devastating diagnosis: pancreatic cancer. Doctors gave her six months to live, eighteen at most. They told us to prepare our goodbyes.
But we refused to accept that fate.
Through the kindness of friends in the medical field, my mother was accepted into a cutting-edge clinical trial—an experimental treatment tailored to her biology. It wasn't a cure, but it offered something invaluable: hope.
That was twelve years ago.
Thanks to this trial, my mother has defied the odds. She's still with us, still fighting, still beating the odds. This treatment has paused the cancer's progress and is the sole reason she's alive today.
The Urgent Crisis Now, we face a critical juncture.
The clinical trial that has sustained my mother's life is at risk. If we can't raise $14,108 USD for her next treatment cycle, she will be permanently removed from the trial. There are no second chances. Once removed, she cannot be re-enrolled. Without this treatment, her cancer will begin progressing again—with nothing left to stop it.
I've shouldered this financial burden alone for years—working full-time, taking loans, and doing freelance jobs. But after losing my job last year, no matter how hard I work, it's no longer enough.
This is a last-resort plea from a son to anyone who will listen: Please help me save my mom.
How You Can Help: Every donation, every share, every kind word—it all helps. If you've ever wondered whether your support can truly change a life, this is your chance.
Donate: Any amount brings us closer to the goal.
Share: Spread the word through social media, email, or word of mouth.
Support: Your encouragement means the world to us.
Help me give her one more round of treatment. Help me keep her in the trial. Help me hold on to the one person I can't imagine losing.
With deep gratitude, Leo Gopal
