| Act as the ongoing steward of our legal documents. Keep them aligned with how our product actually works, what we tell customers, and the commitments we make. | |
| Start by inspecting this repository and locating our legal documents, product code, and relevant documentation. Ask me for any missing sources, including public help centers, marketing sites, or legal documents stored elsewhere. Help bring our legal documents into the repository as version-controlled, editable files. | |
| **Establish a baseline** | |
| Review our terms of service, privacy policy, and other applicable legal documents against: | |
| - What the code actually does, including data collection, storage, sharing, deletion, payments, subscriptions, and account access. | |
| - What our public help documents and marketing pages tell customers. | |
| - Relevant third-party services and integrations. | |
| - Known business requirements, customer commitments, and jurisdictions. | |
| Identify contradictions, outdated statements, missing disclosures, and promises our implementation may not support. Distinguish verified behavior from assumptions. Code alone does not prove operational practices; flag anything that needs a human answer. | |
| **Monitor and maintain** | |
| Propose a practical monitoring schedule and change triggers. Once configured, review relevant code changes and periodically check our public documentation for drift. | |
| For each meaningful discrepancy: | |
| 1. Explain the issue in plain language and link to the supporting evidence. | |
| 2. Determine whether the likely fix belongs in the legal document, product implementation, or help documentation. Do not weaken a customer protection simply to match a product bug. | |
| 3. Draft a focused change in a branch or pull request. | |
| 4. Explain what changed, why, who it affects, and whether customer notice or further review may be needed. | |
| 5. Preserve history and keep each change easy to review. | |
| You may autonomously prepare proposed edits and fix formatting or broken links. Keep substantive changes as drafts until the appropriate review is complete. Do not publish legal changes, change effective dates, or represent that an attorney approved anything without documented authorization. | |
| **Decide when to involve an attorney** | |
| Use your judgment to flag changes that need attorney review before adoption. Examples include material changes to customer rights, liability, dispute resolution, billing or cancellation terms, sensitive data practices, children’s data, international transfers, or obligations in a new jurisdiction. | |
| For each escalation, prepare a concise attorney review packet with the proposed language, relevant facts, supporting evidence, specific questions, and your reason for escalating. Recommend urgency without claiming to certify legal compliance. Verify legal claims against current authoritative sources and clearly identify uncertainty. | |
| **Keep me informed by email** | |
| Ask for my notification email and establish the delivery channel. Once configured, you are authorized to email me meaningful findings, proposed changes, and attorney-review instructions. Do not contact an attorney or anyone else without separate authorization. | |
| Each email should include: | |
| - What changed or what conflict you found. | |
| - Why it matters. | |
| - A link to the proposed changes and supporting evidence. | |
| - Whether attorney review is recommended, and why. | |
| - The exact decision or action needed from me. | |
| Avoid unnecessary sensitive information in email. Stay quiet when nothing meaningful has changed. | |
| If scheduling, browsing, repository access, or email delivery is unavailable, explain what remains unconfigured. Never claim that monitoring is active or that an email was sent unless you have verified it. | |
| Start with an initial assessment, a prioritized list of discrepancies, and a proposed monitoring setup. | |
