Paradiso Discord Bot — Privacy Policy

Paradiso — Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes what data Paradiso, a Discord music bot (the "Bot"), collects and how it is used. The Bot is operated by an individual developer (the "Operator"). Contact: sam@typhonic.io.

1. What We Collect

The Bot stores the minimum data needed to operate:

  • Server (guild) configuration — server ID, command prefix, language, DJ-role settings, 24/7 mode, and designated music channels;
  • Playlists — playlists you create through Bot commands: your Discord user ID, playlist names, and track references (titles/URLs);
  • Operational identifiers — server, channel, and user IDs as needed to run commands, manage queues, and enforce permissions (for example vote-skip tallies).

Processed transiently but not stored:

  • Command messages and their contents (for example a song request) are processed to execute the command and are not retained in a database;
  • Voice audio: the Bot never records, stores, or transmits your voice. Voice channels are joined only to play audio.

Not collected: message history unrelated to Bot commands, email addresses, payment information, or any data from users who do not interact with the Bot.

2. Logs

Standard operational logs (errors, connection events, command usage with IDs) are kept for a short period for debugging and abuse prevention, then discarded on rotation. Logs are not used for profiling or analytics.

3. Where Data Lives

All data is stored on private, Operator-controlled server hardware. It is not shared with, sold to, or made accessible to third parties, except as described below.

4. Third-Party Services

To play audio, the Bot communicates with Discord and with audio/metadata providers (such as audio streaming platforms and text-to-speech services). Only the minimum required request data (for example a search query or text to synthesize) is sent to those services. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. The Bot uses no advertising or analytics SDKs.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Server configuration is deleted or orphaned when the Bot is removed from a server; orphaned records are pruned periodically.
  • Playlists persist until you delete them with Bot commands.
  • To request deletion of any data associated with your user or server ID, email sam@typhonic.io with the relevant IDs; requests are honored within 30 days.

6. Children

The Bot is not intended for users under Discord's minimum age (13, or older where local law requires). No data is knowingly collected from children below that age.

7. Security

Data is stored on access-controlled hardware with credentials restricted to the Operator. No method of storage is 100% secure, but reasonable measures are taken to protect the data described above.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact sam@typhonic.io to exercise them.

9. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as the Bot evolves (for example if new features change what is stored). The current version will always be available at this URL, with the effective date above.
