These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Paradiso, a Discord music bot (the "Bot"), operated by an individual developer (the "Operator"). Contact: sam@typhonic.io.
By adding the Bot to a Discord server or using its commands, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, remove the Bot and discontinue use.
Paradiso plays audio in Discord voice channels on request, manages playback queues and playlists, and provides related utility commands (for example, text-to-speech playback and message cleanup for its own command traffic). The Bot is provided free of charge.
You must meet Discord's minimum age requirement (13 years, or older where your local law requires) and comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. These Terms supplement, and do not replace, Discord's own terms.
You agree not to:
- Use the Bot to violate any law, Discord's terms, or the rights of others;
- Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Bot or its infrastructure;
- Use the Bot's cleanup/moderation commands to delete messages in servers where you lack permission to do so (the Bot enforces Discord permissions, and you are responsible for how you use them);
- Abuse request commands in a way that degrades the service for other servers.
The Operator may restrict, rate-limit, or remove the Bot from any server at any time, with or without notice, including for abuse or resource constraints.
The Bot streams or resolves audio and metadata through third-party services (including audio platforms and text-to-speech providers). The Operator does not host, own, or claim rights over any third-party content played through the Bot. Availability of any particular source is not guaranteed and may change without notice. Your use of third-party content through the Bot must comply with those services' own terms.
Queue entries, saved playlists, and command inputs you provide remain yours. You grant the Operator the limited right to store and process them solely to operate the Bot (see the Privacy Policy for details on what is stored).
The Bot is operated on a best-effort basis with no uptime guarantee. It may be unavailable, updated, or discontinued at any time. Support is provided informally via the contact address above.
THE BOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Bot. The Operator's total liability for any claim relating to the Bot shall not exceed USD $10.
You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your server. The Operator may terminate or suspend access for any violation of these Terms.
These Terms may be updated from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL, with the effective date above. Continued use of the Bot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Operator's state of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
