SUBTITLE: Build Better Stories: You Can Build Anything

NARRATOR (warm, upbeat):

Hey—did you know you’re the builder of your life?
You can build a story.
You can build a song.
You can build a dream.

Don’t wait to be perfect.
Don’t wait to be famous.
All you need is belief… and a dash of stick‑to‑it‑iveness (that means grit)!

Today, three people will show us how they started small…
and built something huge.
Ready? Let’s roll!

PART 1: SYLVESTER’S STORY

[Visual: Young Sylvester Stallone vector art—him writing at a tiny desk, a big “Rocky” poster on the wall]

NARRATOR:
Meet Sylvester Stallone.
He was born with one side of his face a bit quiet, so he spoke in a slow, soft way.
Kids sometimes teased him: “Why talk like molasses?”

But Sylvester had a big dream.
He wrote a story about a boxer named Rocky—a fighter who got knocked down… then stood back up.

Sylvester showed his script to studio bosses.
They liked the story, but not his voice.
They said, “Let someone else play Rocky.”
Sylvester said, “No way—I am Rocky!”

He kept knocking on doors… and the doors kept swinging shut.
Then, finally—one swung open.

He made a movie that taught us:
It’s brave to stand up again.
Even when you feel small, your own voice can be mighty.

(Joke aside: That “eye of the tiger” music from Rocky? Even boxers today still run up real staircases to it!)

PART 2: MARSHALL’S STORY

[Visual: Young Marshall Mathers vector scene—him scribbling in a notebook under a street‑lamp]

NARRATOR:
Next up: Marshall Mathers—later known as Eminem.
He moved a lot as a kid.
Sometimes he lived in houses with leaky roofs.
He felt like the new kid—every day.

But Marshall had magic in his words.
He wrote rhymes in a little notebook and practiced them out loud.
He went to his first rap battle… and lost.

Did he cry? Maybe.
Did he quit? Never.

He went back. He wrote tougher rhymes. He rapped louder.
He won. Then he kept winning.

He made a movie called 8 Mile—showing the world you fight with words, not fists.

(Joke aside: Those notebooks of his? They became so famous, people wished they could autograph his autograph!)

PART 3: KATY’S STORY

[Visual: Young Katy Perry vector art—her singing into a hairbrush on a small home stage]

NARRATOR:
Last is Katy Perry.
As a kid, she sang everywhere—bathrooms, family cars, you name it.
Her neighbors could tell when she hit a high note… and sometimes they banged on the walls (to tell her to keep going)!

She signed a music deal that… well, didn’t work out. Then another one went away.
Instead of giving up, Katy wrote a song called “Roar.”

She sang,
“I went from zero to my own hero.”

And she meant it—her song became so big, it played in stores, on phones, and at every sports game.

(Joke aside: The next time you roar along, your cat might think it’s time for dinner!)

WRAP‑UP & CHALLENGE

[Visual: All three young figures giving thumbs‑up, then cut to a child at a desk drawing or humming]

NARRATOR:
Sylvester.
Marshall.
Katy.

Three kids.
Three dreams.
Told no—but they said yes to themselves.

They built with words, tunes, and grit.
Now it’s your turn.

Pick up your pencil.
Hum your song.
Draw your dream.

Believe in yourself.
Keep going, no matter what.

Because when you stick with it…
You can build anything.
