Maytag Washer Issues

Resources I've read:

Things we've done:

  • Run the tab of Affresh you gave us.
  • Carefully measure 1 tablespoon (or less) of HE detergent on each load.
  • Run using the "Deep Wash" setting with medium temperature.
  • Re-rinse clothes. This fixes some of the residue, but never all of it.

Notes:

  • Bridget does not wash towels or anything that could add lint / residue when she's washing clothes.
  • Most of the time my dark clothes (T-shirts and pants) have the same residue as Bridget's scrubs.
  • Bridget is using the same HE Tide detergent she used in her apartment. The apartment had a very basic agitator-style washer that did not exhibit this problem.
  • Bridget's daughter is now living in the same apartment that Bridget did, and also doesn't have problems. She's a nurse as well, and her scrubs also come out clean.
