Turn off AI Overviews in Google search


Let's keep search be search and AI be AI


  1. Type following in your search box and press enter

    chrome://settings/searchEngines

  2. Click on the Add button in the Site Search section image

  3. Fill the following form using the information below and click Add image

    • name - with good ol Google 🌐

    • shortcut - g

    • URL with %s in place of query - {google:baseURL}/search?udm=14&q=%s

  4. Now open a new tab and type g and press space and you'll see the following

  5. Now every time you have to press g before all your searches but we can do better. Click on the three stacked dots on the right side of this new site search option. Select Make default

  6. Congratulations! now you have your old AI free searches back
