You'll be our first marketing hire - building the entire marketing and business development function from the ground up, entirely remotely. This is a unique opportunity to shape how an AI-first startup approaches growth, partnerships, and market positioning in headless commerce.
You'll champion our Weaverse AI product while using AI tools to maximize your own effectiveness and drive measurable business impact.
Strategic Leadership (40%)
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing and business development strategy with data-driven insights
- Define positioning, messaging, and brand strategy for developer and merchant audiences
- Build marketing processes, systems, and team foundation for remote scaling with automation
- Collaborate with CEO on fundraising materials and investor communications
- Drive go-to-market strategy for new features, product launches, and Weaverse AI
Business Development & Partnerships (35%)
- Identify, negotiate, and close strategic partnerships with Shopify agencies and developers
- Build relationships with key players in the Shopify ecosystem through digital channels
- Develop partner program framework and remote management processes
- Lead enterprise sales conversations via video conferencing and digital tools
- Drive revenue growth through strategic partnerships and business development
Marketing Execution & Community Building (25%)
- Build and nurture our developer community through content, virtual events, and online engagement
- Create thought leadership content and establish company as headless commerce authority

AI Integration & Innovation

Experience & Background
- 5+ years of marketing and business development experience at B2B SaaS companies
- Proven track record of building marketing functions from scratch at early-stage startups
- Experience scaling companies from seed to Series A/B stage

- Remote work experience preferred - comfortable with distributed team dynamics
