| description | Removes every trace of the Orca multi-agent IDE from a macOS machine — orphaned processes, the agent hooks Orca writes into Claude Code / Codex / Cursor / Gemini / Factory configs, ~/.orca, the CLI symlink, and its bundled skills. Use when uninstalling Orca or cleaning up Orca leftovers, locally or on a paired remote host. |
Deleting Orca.app removes almost nothing else. Its helper processes keep running from the deleted bundle, and the hooks it installed stay wired into every agent config it found. Cleanup is an inventory → confirm → strip → stop → delete → verify pass, run once per machine.
The one ordering rule: strip hooks before deleting ~/.orca. Orca's Gemini/Antigravity PreToolUse hook falls back to {"decision":"ask"} when its script is missing, so deleting the scripts first makes that agent prompt on every tool call. The other agents' hooks fall back to no-ops, but still spawn a shell on every event.
