Recipe Keeps ("the App") is a recipe management and meal planning application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
When you sign in using Apple or Google, we collect:
- Email address - Used to identify your account
- User ID - A unique identifier for your account
Data you create within the App:
- Recipes (titles, notes, URLs, images, tags)
- Meal plans
- Grocery lists
- Household information (for sharing features)
To improve app stability and fix bugs, we collect:
- Crash reports - Error information when the app crashes
- Performance data - App behavior logs to diagnose issues
This diagnostic data is linked to your user ID to help us investigate issues you report.
If you enable notifications, we store your device's push notification token to send meal plan reminders.
We use the following services to operate the App:

- To provide and sync your recipes, meal plans, and grocery lists across devices
- To enable household sharing features
- To send push notifications (if enabled)
- To diagnose and fix app issues
- To improve the App
- Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers
- Authentication tokens are stored in your device's secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore)
- We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit
- Your data is retained as long as you have an active account
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time using the "Delete Account" option in the Account screen
You can:
- Access your data through the App
- Export your data (recipes, meal plans, grocery lists)
- Delete your account and all data permanently using the "Delete Account" option in the Account screen. This action is irreversible and removes all your recipes, grocery items, meal plans, settings, and household memberships
The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.

- Syncing issues: Make sure you're signed in and have an internet connection. Try pulling down to refresh.
- Lost data: If signed in, your data syncs to the cloud automatically. Sign in on any device to restore.
- Delete account: Go to Account → Delete Account to permanently delete your account and all data.
