    <p>To suggest a talk, please use <a class="reference" href="/ipw2012/newtalk">the web interface</a>. All proposals must be
    submitted by <strike>June 20th, 2011</strike> <strong>August 1st, 2011</strong>.</p>

    <p>This year's theme for the workshop is <strong>Two Perls</strong>,
    which wants to put relevance both on Perl 5 and Perl 6.
    The topic is, however, just a loose guideline:
    any Perl-related topic will be fine. Some interesting topics
    could be:</p>

    <ul>
    <li>"Light" Web application frameworks (Mojolicious, Dancer, ...)</li>
    <li>Moose</li>
    <li>PSGI / Plack</li>
    <li>Overview on "Modern Perl"</li>
    <li>Applications of Rakudo Star</li>
    <li>APIs for cloud services (Amazon, Google, Rackspace, ...)</li>
    <li>Reflex</li>
    <li>Catalyst &amp; DBIx::Class</li>
    <li>New web technologies (websocket, node.js, ...)</li>
    </ul>

    <p>If you send a proposal, please fill in as much information as
    possible about yourself in your profile, after having registered.</p>

    <p>As for past editions, an introductory course to Perl is already
    scheduled.</p>

    <h2><a name="linee-guida-interventi">How to submit a talk</a></h2>

    <p>If you want to give a talk, please use <a class="reference"
    href="/ipw2012/newtalk">the web interface</a> to send
    your proposal.</p>

    <p>Here you can find some useful hints on how to fill the web form:</p>

    <ul>
    <li><strong>Title</strong>: start the title with
    <tt class="literal"><span class="pre">[talk]</span></tt>: this will help us
    distinguish talks from discussion topics.</li>

    <li><strong>Language</strong>: state the language you will use for
    the talk (either Italian or English).</li>

    <li><strong>Abstract</strong>: briefly state why you think your talk
    will be useful for workshop attendees.</li>

    <li><strong>Abstract URL</strong>: link to a short descritption of the
    topic of your talk.</li>

    <li><strong>Talk URL</strong>: link to any additional material available
    online for your talk: this will allow the organizers to have a better idea
    about your talk contents.</li>

    <li><strong>Duration</strong>: the duration of your talk (see below
    for a description of the various options).</li>

    <li><strong>Target audience</strong>: please specify the knowledge
    knowledge the audience should have to get the most from the talk.</li>

    <li><strong>Comments</strong>: specify if you have any requirements for
    presentation equipment or materials (e.g. a laptop, a projector,
    etc.)</li>
    </ul>

    <p>Filling these fields properly will help the organizers to have a
    detailed idea about the content of your talk.</p>

    <p>If you have slides or other material related to your talk that
    you wish to be published, we kindly ask you to send it to us as
    soon as possible.</p>

    <h2><a name="durate">Talk durations</a></h2>

    <p>You can choose between 4 different durations:</p>

    <ul>
    <li><strong>120 minutes:</strong> for tutorial-style talks, where you
    describe a technology or a complex module; also for discussions about
    very ample or introductory topics.</li>

    <li><strong>40 minutes:</strong> for complex or detailed talks; also ideal
    for most discussions.</li>

    <li><strong>20 minutes:</strong> for most talks; also for discussions about
    limited topics.</li>

    <li><strong>Lightning talk:</strong> great for &quot;flash&quot; talks
    (5 minutes) to be used to briefly show an idea, an application, ....</li>

    <p>We will send out acceptance notices for
    talks by <strike>July 1st, 2011</strike> <strong>August 10th, 2011</strong>. It is
    however possible that talks will be accepted when the CfP is
    still open, also in order to make a partial schedule available
    to potential attendees.</p>

    <h2><a name="cosa-fare">Argomenti</a></h2>

    <p>Come anticipato, quest'anno il tema è <strong>Perl Jubilee</strong>,
    per celebrare i 25 anni del linguaggio.
    Il tema non è in ogni caso vincolante,
    e sono ben accetti interventi anche non inerenti. Alcuni
    argomenti interessanti possono essere:</p>

    <ul>
    <li>CPAN e applicazioni correlate</li>
    <li>Web application framework (Mojolicious, Dancer, Catalyst, ...)</li>
    <li>PSGI / Plack</li>
    <li>Moose</li>
    <li>"Modern Perl"</li>
    <li>Applicazioni di Rakudo Star</li>
    <li>API per cloud services (Amazon, Google, Rackspace, ...)</li>
    <li>DBIx::Class, altri ORM, librerie NoSQL, ...</li>
    <li>Programmazione funzionale</li>
    </ul>

    <p>Preghiamo chiunque voglia inviare proposte di fornire quante più
    informazioni possibili nel proprio profilo, una volta completata la registrazione.</p>

    <h2><a name="linee-guida-interventi">Come proporre un intervento (talk)</a></h2>

    <p>Se volete tenere un talk, utilizzate <a class="reference"
    href="/ipw2012/newtalk">l'interfaccia web</a> per inviare
    la vostra proposta.</p>

    <p>Qui di seguito sono riportate alcune utili indicazioni su come
    riempire il modulo web:</p>

    <ul>
    <li><strong>Titolo</strong>: anteponete <tt class="literal"><span
    class="pre">[talk]</span></tt> al titolo che avete scelto, così ci sarà
    più facile distinguere gli interventi dagli argomenti di discussione.</li>

    <li><strong>Lingua</strong>: indicate la lingua che in effetti
    utilizzerete per il talk (italiano o inglese).</li>

    <li><strong>Descrizione</strong>: indicate in breve perché
    ritenete che il vostro talk sia utile per i partecipanti al workshop.</li>

    <li><strong>URL dell'abstract</strong>: link ad una breve presentazione degli argomenti
    trattati e dei prerequisiti, se disponibile.</li>

    <li><strong>URL dell'intervento</strong>: link da fornire nel caso abbiate
    già del materiale inerente il vostro intervento
    disponibile online, potete segnalarcelo subito usando gli appositi
    campi: questo consentirà agli organizzatori di avere un'idea più
    precisa sul contenuto del vostro intervento.</li>

    <li><strong>Durata</strong>: la durata dell'intervento, più in
    basso sono descritte le durate disponibili.</li>

    <li><strong>Tipo di pubblico</strong>: indicate qui il
    livello di conoscenza richiesto alla platea.</li>

    <li><strong>Commenti</strong>: specificate qui eventuali attrezzature
    necessarie (es. portatile, videoproiettore, lavagna luminosa, ecc.)</li>
    </ul>

    <p>La corretta compilazione di questi campi consentirà agli organizzatori
    di avere un'idea più precisa sul contenuto del vostro intervento e sulle
    vostre necessità per poterlo effettuare.</p>

    <p>Qualora aveste a disposizione slide o altro materiale
    inerente al vostro talk che volete
    sia pubblicato, vi chiediamo di inviarcelo non appena possibile.</p>

    <p>La notifica di accettazione degli interventi sarà inviata entro
    il <strong>20 Settembre 2012</strong>.
    &Egrave; comunque probabile che i talk siano accettati
    anche a CfP ancora aperto, anche allo scopo di mostrare ai
    potenziali partecipanti un programma parziale del workshop.</p>

    <h2><a name="durate">Durata interventi</a></h2>

    <p>Sono previste 4 diverse durate:</p>

    <ul>
    <li><strong>120 minuti:</strong> adatta per un intervento di tipo "tutorial",
    in cui si insegna l'utilizzo di una tecnolgia o un modulo complesso;
    adatta anche per argomenti di discussione molto ampi e/o
    introduttivi.</li>

    <li><strong>40 minuti:</strong> adatta per interventi in cui si affrontano
    argomenti complessi, o nei quali si intenda addentrarsi nei dettagli;
    adatta anche per la maggior parte delle discussioni.</li>

    <li><strong>20 minuti:</strong> adatta alla maggior parte degli interventi,
    nonché per le discussioni di minor respiro.</li>

    <li><strong>Intervento lampo:</strong> ideali per inteventi &quot;flash&quot;
    (5 minuti) in cui si presenta rapidamente un'idea, un'applicazione, ...</li>
