JobMorph is a Chrome extension that helps users optimize their resumes for specific job postings using AI. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how it is stored.
JobMorph collects and processes the following types of data:
- Name, email, phone number, and location
- Work experience, education, skills, and certifications
- This data is provided voluntarily by the user through manual input or PDF upload
- Anthropic API key provided by the user
- This key is used solely to make API calls to Anthropic's Claude AI service
- Job posting content (title, company, description, requirements) from supported job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor)
- This content is read from publicly visible pages only when the user explicitly triggers the optimization
- All data is stored locally on the user's device using Chrome's
chrome.storage.localAPI - No data is stored on external servers owned or operated by JobMorph
- No databases, analytics, or tracking systems are used
- CV data and job posting content are sent to Anthropic's Claude API solely for the purpose of generating optimized resumes and interview preparation materials
- Data is transmitted directly from the user's browser to Anthropic's API using the user's own API key
- No data is sold, shared, or transferred to any other third parties
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used
- All data remains on the user's device until they choose to remove it
- Users can clear all stored data by removing the extension or clearing extension data through Chrome settings
- Optimization history is limited to the 5 most recent results
The only third-party service used is:
- Anthropic API (https://www.anthropic.com) — for AI-powered resume optimization and interview preparation. Data sent to Anthropic is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy and Usage Policy
Users can at any time:
- View all stored data through the extension's interface
- Edit or delete their CV data
- Remove their API key
- Uninstall the extension to remove all locally stored data
- API keys are stored locally and never transmitted to any server other than Anthropic's API
- All API communications use HTTPS encryption
- No data leaves the user's device except for AI processing requests sent directly to Anthropic
Any changes to this privacy policy will be reflected in this document with an updated date.
