bampico support

bampico shows quick, current readings from a Simarine Pico 2 battery monitor (batteries, shunts, tanks and temperatures) over the internet. It only reads from your Pico: it never changes its settings.

Common questions

bampico can't reach my Pico. The Pico must be online for remote access:

  1. In Simarine's own app, turn on remote (Wi-Fi) access for your Pico.
  2. Check the Pico is connected to the internet: the globe shows green in Simarine's app.
  3. In bampico, open Settings, tap the ⋮ menu beside your Pico, and choose Test connection.

Where do I find my Pico's serial number? On the Pico's own screen: long-press the right (menu) button for about 5 seconds, then choose SETTINGS (PICO SETTINGS on some firmware) → SYSTEM → SYSTEM INFO. Use the Pico 2's own serial, not a sensor's: Simarine's app also lists serials for shunts and other sensors, and those won't work. bampico's setup guide checks the number as you type it.

Can I try bampico without a Pico? Yes. On first launch tap "No Pico handy? Try the demo", or later choose Settings → Add the demo Pico. The demo shows realistic, changing readings.

Something isn't working. How do I help you find out why? Send a diagnostics report: Settings → Diagnostics → View diagnostics report → Send to developer. It opens your own email app, so you can read the report, change it or cancel it before it goes. Nothing is sent unless you do this.
