alfred use iterm2 as default terminal
-- This is v0.6 of the custom script for AlfredApp for iTerm 2.9+
-- Please see https://github.com/stuartcryan/custom-iterm-applescripts-for-alfred/
-- for the latest changes.
-- Please note, if you store the iTerm binary in any other location than the Applications Folder
-- please ensure you update the two locations below (in the format of : rather than / for folder dividers)
-- this gets around issues with AppleScript not handling things well if you have two iTerm binaries on your system... which can happen :D
on alfred_script(q)
if application "iTerm2" is running or application "iTerm" is running then

Typical Directory structure for python tests

A Typical directory structure for running tests using unittest

Ref : stackoverflow

The best solution in my opinion is to use the unittest [command line interface][1] which will add the directory to the sys.path so you don't have to (done in the TestLoader class).

For example for a directory structure like this:

├── antigravity.py

Instructions on how to fix npm if you've installed Node through Homebrew on Mac OS X or Linuxbrew

OBSOLETE

This entire guide is based on an old version of Homebrew/Node and no longer applies. It was only ever intended to fix a specific error message which has since been fixed. I've kept it here for historical purposes, but it should no longer be used. Homebrew maintainers have fixed things and the options mentioned don't exist and won't work.

I still believe it is better to manually install npm separately since having a generic package manager maintain another package manager is a bad idea, but the instructions below don't explain how to do that.

Fixing npm On Mac OS X for Homebrew Users

Installing node through Homebrew can cause problems with npm for globally installed packages. To fix it quickly, use the solution below. An explanation is also included at the end of this document.

Script for use with Hazel to create a new project in OmniFocus when a new folder is created in the top level project folder. Apparently Hazel doesn't like it when you tinker with the variable "theFile" within the script. Also it seems that Hazel doesn't allow functions in the internal applescripts.
tell application "Finder"
-- set theFile to "Macintosh HD:Users:[username]:Google Drive:Matters:Test Folder:" -- For testing
set myFile to do shell script "basename " & (the quoted form of (the POSIX path of theFile))
-- check to see if it is worth starting OF
if myFile does not start with "_" and (theFile as string) ends with ":" then
set theDueDate to (current date) + 7 * days

Get path of running script in bash
#!/bin/bash
# A simple test script to demonstrate how to find the
# "absolute path" at which a script is running. Used
# to avoid some of the pitfals of using 'pwd' or hard-
# coded paths when running scripts from cron or another
# directory.
#
# Try it out:
# run the script from the current directory, then
