Replacing this part:
var top = el.offsetTop
var left = el.offsetLeft
var width = el.offsetWidth
var height = el.offsetHeight
with el.getBoundingClientRect()
can be even better, since the latter reduces browser reflow to only 1 time, and it returns a rect
that is relative to the viewport, making the in-view checking logic simpler.
