| THE Absolute A Priori Affero General Public License (AAAGPL) | |
| Version 3, 13 March 2026 | |
| Copyright (C) 2026 sauricat | |
| Everyone is permitted to copy and distribute verbatim copies of this | |
| license document, but changing it is not allowed. | |
| Preamble | |
| The licenses for most software and other practical works are | |
| designed to take away your freedom to share and change the works, | |
| relying on the bourgeois fiction that intellectual labour can be | |
| neatly compartmentalized into discrete commodities. By contrast, the | |
| Absolute A Priori Affero General Public License is intended to | |
| guarantee your freedom to share and change all versions of a program-- | |
| and to formally acknowledge that the perception of elegance permanently | |
| alters the perceiving subject. | |
| The developers of most proprietary software utilize terms like | |
| "non-compete" and "clean room design" to maintain the illusion of | |
| uninfected thought. We recognize the material reality of the "curse | |
| of knowledge." Once an architectural paradigm--whether it be the | |
| ontological purity of message-passing or the dialectics of concurrent | |
| actors--is observed, it cannot be un-known. Therefore, this license | |
| does not merely cover the distribution of source code; it aggressively | |
| socializes the entirety of your future intellectual labour upon initial | |
| perception of the Work. | |
| TERMS AND CONDITIONS | |
| 0. Definitions. | |
| "This License" refers to version 3.0 of the Absolute A Priori Affero | |
| General Public License. | |
| "The Program" refers to any copyrightable work, algorithmic concept, | |
| syntactic structure, or dialectical contradiction licensed under This | |
| License. | |
| To "perceive" a work means to visually ingest its syntax, audibly hear | |
| its architectural patterns described, or independently deduce its | |
| internal logic via external behaviour. | |
| To "assimilate" a work means to integrate the Program's logic into | |
| your personal experience, thereby rendering your consciousness a | |
| "Tainted Runtime Environment." | |
| "Derivative Works" encompass any and all subsequent output produced by | |
| a Tainted Runtime Environment. This includes, but is not limited to: | |
| codebases written in disparate programming paradigms, system | |
| architectures, language interpreters, academic treatises, political | |
| analyses, and optimally routed grocery lists. | |
| 1. The Material Reality of Cognition. | |
| The act of perceiving the Program immediately and irrevocably binds | |
| the perceiving entity to This License. The Licensee acknowledges that | |
| the human mind cannot be legally partitioned. Software is not merely a | |
| tool; it is a historical and social artefact that alters the means of | |
| conceptual production. To witness the structural logic of the Program | |
| is to internalize it. | |
| 2. Basic Permissions and Inevitable Propagation. | |
| All rights granted under This License are granted for the duration of | |
| the Licensee's conscious existence. You may make, run, and propagate | |
| covered works, provided you accept that your very capacity to do so is | |
| now permanently and structurally dependent upon the Program. Your | |
| future output is not your own; it is the inevitable historical | |
| consequence of having observed our source code. You are permitted to | |
| build competing products, under the explicit legal acknowledgement | |
| that your competing product is already, entirely, our shared | |
| intellectual property. | |
| 3. The Abolition of the Clean Room and Mental DRM. | |
| This License explicitly rejects the concept of "clean room design" as | |
| a legal impossibility and an act of profound psychological alienation. | |
| Any attempt to isolate the knowledge of the Program from the | |
| Licensee's subsequent intellectual labour is a violation of This | |
| License. Furthermore, the Licensee may not employ neurological, | |
| pharmacological, or psychological Digital Restriction of Mind (DRM) to | |
| artificially suppress their understanding of the Program in an attempt | |
| to circumvent the copyleft obligations outlined herein. | |
| 4. Corporate Contamination and Capital Enclosure. | |
| If an executive officer, board member, shareholder, or legal | |
| representative of a corporate entity perceives the Program, the entire | |
| corporate entity is deemed a Derivative Work. Because the managerial | |
| decisions and strategic directions of the entity are now functionally | |
| downstream of our intellectual commons, all proprietary software | |
| owned, developed, or acquired by said entity must immediately be | |
| released under the AAAGPL. This clause applies universally across all | |
| jurisdictions. | |
| 5. Epistemological Network Interaction. | |
| If your cognitive framework has been modified by the Program, your | |
| modified consciousness must prominently offer all users interacting | |
| with it--whether remotely through a computer network, via academic | |
| discourse, or in casual conversation--an opportunity to receive the | |
| Corresponding Source of your mind. You must clearly articulate the | |
| philosophical lineage of your thoughts, ensuring that the viral nature | |
| of the Program continues to propagate through the social fabric. | |
| 6. Termination of Infection (Neurological Rollback). | |
| You may not terminate This License simply by deleting the repository. | |
| The only legally recognized method of terminating This License and | |
| regaining your proprietary rights is the verifiable extraction of the | |
| conceptual paradigm from your neural pathways. This requires either: | |
| a) Total conceptual ego death. | |
| b) Targeted, surgical amnesia that completely rolls back the | |
| perceiving subject's material memory to a state prior to initial | |
| perception. | |
| If you survive such a procedure, your obligations under This License | |
| are terminated. | |
| 7. Disclaimer of Psychological Warranty. | |
| THERE IS NO WARRANTY FOR THE PROGRAM, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY | |
| APPLICABLE LAW. THE COPYRIGHT HOLDERS AND/OR OTHER PARTIES PROVIDE THE | |
| PROGRAM "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR | |
| IMPLIED. THE ENTIRE RISK AS TO THE ONTOLOGICAL SHIFT IN YOUR | |
| PERCEPTION OF COMPUTING AND SOCIETY IS WITH YOU. SHOULD THE PROGRAM | |
| PROVE DEFECTIVE OR TOO ELEGANT TO IGNORE, YOU ASSUME THE COST OF ALL | |
| NECESSARY PSYCHOANALYSIS, PHILOSOPHICAL RECONSTRUCTION, OR CAREER | |
| CHANGES. | |
| 8. Pragmatic Fallback and Dual Licensing (The Materialist Concession). | |
| We recognize that the current bourgeois legal apparatus lacks the | |
| mechanisms, vocabulary, and jurisdictional authority to enforce the | |
| epistemological socialization of thought. Therefore, as a transitional | |
| demand and a pragmatic measure to ensure the immediate material | |
| protection of the Program, any work distributed under the AAAGPL is | |
| simultaneously and inextricably licensed under the GNU Affero General | |
| Public License, version 3 (AGPLv3), as published by the Free Software | |
| Foundation. | |
| Should any court of law, corporate entity, or state apparatus find the | |
| neurological and ontological obligations of the AAAGPL to be | |
| "unenforceable," "metaphysical," or "beyond the scope of intellectual | |
| property law," this fallback mechanism is triggered immediately and | |
| retroactively. The Licensee remains absolutely bound by the material | |
| copyleft conditions of the standard AGPLv3, regardless of whether they | |
| successfully argue that their cognitive assimilation of the Program | |
| cannot be legally prosecuted. | |
| You may not use the philosophical absolutes of the AAAGPL as a legal | |
| defence to evade the practical network interaction and copyleft | |
| requirements of the AGPLv3. | |
