A personal, single-user application for recording video from the author's own Google Nest cameras in order to detect mice in the author's own home.
It is not distributed, offered, sold or made available to anyone else. There are no other users, no hosted service and no sign-up.
Reads live video streams from the author's Nest cameras via the Google Smart Device Management API and records them to storage on the author's own hardware. Motion detection then extracts short clips of mouse sightings for review.
The Google Home app's own clips start after the mouse is already in frame and stop before it leaves, so they do not show which direction it came from or went to. This records continuously and cuts clips afterwards, so each clip shows the animal entering and leaving frame.
See the privacy policy linked from the OAuth consent screen. In short: all data stays on the author's own hardware on a private network, and nothing is shared with anyone.
