Timeline

Deselect targeted tracks:

• SHIFT + Click onto the track targeting

Insert Clip (move rest of the timeline to the right)

Drag and Drop from Project Media to Timeline, Hold STRG

• d selects clip touching the playhead (only targeted layers)

Preview (Rough cut)

• i for marking the In-Point
• o for marking the Out-Point
• ALT + x clears In and Out points

move the playhead

• j play backwards << (increases speed with multiple presses)
• k stop playback
• l play forward >> (increases speed with multiple presses)
• -> arrow right moves one frame
• <- arrow left moves one frame
• /\ arrow up moves to next clip
• \/ arrow down moves to previous clip
• Shift + arrow left or right skips 5 frames

Import Preview -> Timeline

cutting clips

• CTRL + k adds a cut where the playhead is
• CTRL + SHIFT + k adds a cut to all layers

move clips around

• ALT + arrow up/down moves the selected clips to layer above or below

link clips

• CTRL + L links or unlinks video and audio (to link, select both)

swap clips:

• CTRL + ALT

fast access

• F to open selected clip in timeline in the source monitor

Export Media

• CTRL + M
