- Rails developer during proof of concept phase to digitize the benefits and programs paper application process for New Yorkers.
- Maintained a Docker Compose template for Rails applications, to help other teams build applications in a easily-deployable cross-platform way.
- Improved accessibility following The U.S. Web Design System accessibility guidelines on ACCESS NYC, Growing Up NYC and Generation NYC.
Software Engineer Intern February 2018 - May 2018
- Managed 10+ microservices that supplement Everlasting Wardrobe Rails application.
- Implement CI process using RSpec, Capybara, and TravisCl and reached 85% code coverage.
- Maintained database for the entire application by creating tables, associations and adding indexes using PostgreSQL.
The City of New York - NYCO App
- Rails application that parses data into a PDF form and adds additional documents which is then pushed to Box API.
- Technologies used: Ruby, Rails 5.2, Box API, Prawn, CombinePDF, HTTParty, FormStack, Docker, PDFtk, pdf-forms, encrypted HTTP requests.
- Role: Software Engineer, developed a library to parse JSON data from FormStack into a PDF form. Create the process of converting files into PDF format using PRAWN. Used CombinePDF to add documents retrieve from JSON data and push to Box API.
- Ruby Command-line application to retrieve photos from Twitter and Flickr.
- Technologies used: Ruby, Twitter API, Flickr API, Bundler.
- Role: Developer. Designed command line application using Object Oriented Programming principles focusing on readability, managing dependencies and creating single responsibility methods.
