To force rotation or orientation on apps using Windows Subsystem for Android (WSA) and ADB, you can follow these steps:

  1. Disable Auto-Rotate:

    adb shell settings put system accelerometer_rotation 0

  2. Set Desired Orientation:

    • Portrait (0°): 
      adb shell settings put system user_rotation 0
    • Landscape (90°): 
      adb shell settings put system user_rotation 1
    • Portrait Reversed (180°):

  • The below instructions are listed under separate sections for ease of understanding. Make sure to follow the same sequence as mentioned.

    • STEP 1: Install Android SDK
      • First and foremost, you will have to install the Android SDK Platform Tools on your PC. This is the official ADB and Fastboot binary provided by Google and is the only recommended one. So download it and then extract it to any convenient location on your PC. Doing so will give you the platform-tools folder, which will be used throughout this guide.
    • STEP 2: Download Pixel 5 Watch Faces for Galaxy 4/5
      • Next up, grab hold of the Pixel Watch Faces APK from below and transfer it to the platform-tools folder on your PC.
    • STEP 3: Enable ADB Debugging in Galaxy Wach 4/5
      • Head over to Settings > About Watch > Software and tap Software Version 7 times.Mirror Galaxy Watch 4 Screen to PC
      • Then go to Developer Options and enable the toggle next to ADB Debugging.
      • After that, scroll down a little bit and enable the toggle next to Debug over WiFi.
      • It will now bring up the IP Address, note it down somewhere [do not include the port number, i.e. values after the colon].
      • For example, if the entire value is 192.168.1.3:5555, then your IP will be 192.168.1.3.
    • STEP 4: Connect Galaxy Watch 4/5 to PC via ADB Command
      • Head over to the platform-tools folder, type in CMD in its address bar, and hit Enter. This will launch Command Prompt.command-prompt-inside-adb
      • Now type in the below command in this CMD window [make sure to replace IP accordingly]. adb connect IP
      • You will now get a prompt on your watch, tap OK or Always Allow from this computer.
      • Finally, execute the below command to verify the ADB Connection between your watch and PC adb devices
      • You will now get your IP Address and port number, followed by the ‘device’ keyword. This signifies that the connection has been successfully established.
    • STEP 5: Mirror Watch via Scrcpy
      • Download the Scrcpy ADB Tool from Github [direct link] and extract it inside the platform-tools folder. If it asks for the files to be replaced, then skip it (select Skip these files).
      • Now head over to this folder’s address bar, type in CMD, and hit Enter. This will launch Command Prompt.
      • Execute the below command to verify the ADB connection:
      • adb devices
      • If you get the Device ID, then the connection stands established and you could proceed ahead.
      • So execute the below command for the tool to start:
      • scrcpy
      • It will now bring up your watch screen on your PC ad whatever action you carry out on your watch will be emulated on the PC.
    • STEP 6: Carry out Optional Adjustments
      • There exist a few additional tweaks that you could carry to further optimize the overall mirroring experience. In this regard, here are a few commands and their functionalities that you could try out:
      • Increase Performance
      • You could decrease the stream resolution and in turn increase its performance. Here’s how it could be done [replace 1024 accordingly]
      • scrcpy --max-size 1024
      • Change bit-rate
      • The blow command shows the default bitrate, 8Mbps, you may change this value according to your need
      • scrcpy --bit-rate 8M
      • Limit frame rate
      • scrcpy --max-fps 15
      • Recording
      • You could record the screen while mirroring is going on
      • scrcpy --record file.mp4

How to disable the CORS policy in Microsoft Edge

  • It is not recommended to disable the CORS policy in Microsoft Edge, as it is a security feature designed to prevent cross-site scripting attacks. However, if you need to disable it for development or testing purposes, you can follow these steps:

    • Open Microsoft Edge and type "edge://flags/#unsafely-treat-insecure-origin-as-secure" in the address bar.
    • Press Enter to access the Experimental Features page.
    • Find the "Insecure origins treated as secure" option and select "Enabled" from the drop-down menu.
    • Restart Microsoft Edge for the changes to take effect.

  • After restarting, the CORS policy should be disabled for requests made to localhost. However, please note that this is not recommended for production environments and can pose a security risk.

By pressing and holding the Galaxy Watch 4's app icon and following the necessary settings on both the watch and iPhone, he successfully connects the watch to the iPhone via Bluetooth. This allows for basic functionality such as displaying phone calls and messages on the watch, providing a workaround for using the Galaxy Watch 4 with an iPhone. In this section of the video, the speaker explains that you can use any Android phone to connect the Galaxy Watch 4 with, allowing you to sync data to the Samsung app. The speaker demonstrates this by connecting the watch to an Android phone and downloading the Samsung Health app. When the Android phone syncs with the watch, the data is automatically synced to the Wi-Fi network and can be accessed on an iPhone as well. This provides a useful solution for iPhone users who have a Galaxy Watch but previously couldn't use it.

How to compare files in Visual Studio Code, you can follow these steps:

    • Open the Explorer pane by pressing the Explorer button in the left-hand panel.
    • Right-click on the first file you want to compare and select "Select for Compare" from the context menu.
    • Right-click on the second file you want to compare and select "Compare with Selected" from the context menu.
    • Visual Studio Code will now open a new tab with a side-by-side comparison of the two files.

  • Alternatively, you can also use the built-in keyboard shortcut to compare files in Visual Studio Code. Just select the two files you want to compare in the Explorer pane, and press Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+P (Mac) to open the Command Palette. Then type "Compare Selected" and select the option from the list that appears.

  • You can also install extensions like "Compare Folders" to compare entire directories.

  • In Visual Studio Code, you can compare "Open Editor" views using the following steps:

    • Open the two files you want to compare in separate tabs.
    • On the file you want to compare, use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows, Linux) or Cmd+Shift+P (macOS) to open the command palette, and type "Compare Active File With..." to find the command. Then, select the command to execute it.
    • Click on the file you want to compare it with.
    • Visual Studio Code will then open a new tab with the two files side-by-side, highlighting any differences between them.

  • You can also use the "Merge Changes" feature in Visual Studio Code to merge changes between two files. To use this feature, follow the same steps as above, but instead of selecting "Compare With...", select "Select for Compare" from the context menu. Then, select the second file you want to compare the first file with. Visual Studio Code will then open the two files in a new tab with a third column in the center showing the merged changes. You can accept or reject changes on a line-by-line basis by clicking the "+" or "-" buttons in the middle column.
