Q: Are part numbers important?
A: Yes. It is vital for Warehouse (WHS) to know the specific part number for every item used. Please ensure you are selecting the proper item number listed on the product.
Q: Are utility knives and blades still available?
A: No. DISH has replaced them with a Safety Box Cutter. WHS will provide a replacement if you have misplaced your knife or run out of blades.
Q: Is it okay to call an ISP if necessary?
A: Yes. We encourage calling for urgent requests. However, please also send an email to document the request, as it helps ISPs track individual technician needs accurately.
Q: Do J2 Modems and Trias come off of inventory automatically when they're activated?
A: No. These are issued from your inventory by the ISPs on a daily basis.
Q: Do J2 modems and Trias need to be entered into OFSC?
A: Yes. You must enter the serial number into OFSC for these items to be properly issued from your inventory.
Q: Are J2 Modems and Trias a matching set?
A: No. They must be entered into OFSC separately, as they are tracked as individual inventory items.
Q: What serial number do I need to enter into OFSC for J2 Modems and Trias?
A: Use the serial listed as S/N on the box.
- Exception: J2 modems in a brown box use the DISH SERIAL (similar to J1 products).
Q: Is it necessary to activate Trias on a DishNet mover?
A: Yes. A call to DASH is required to ensure the product is issued from your van inventory. If you replace an existing modem, that must be activated as well.
Q: Does WHS track dish metals?
A: No. Backings, reflectors, brackets, and masts for the 1000.2 are not tracked. Simply notify WHS when you are running low so they can restock you.
Q: Are DishNet metals tracked by WHS?
A: Yes. These are tracked in Oracle and issued when entered into OFSC.
Q: Are mounts tracked by WHS?
A: Yes. All mounts (including rail mounts, corner mounts, etc.) are tracked in Oracle and issued via OFSC.
Q: Do I need to enter Joey Power Supplies into OFSC?
A: Yes. These must be entered when used.
Q: Do I need to enter Joey Stands into OFSC?
A: No. These are issued upon transfer to your van. Note: Because they aren't entered in OFSC, ISPs will not automatically know if you are out of stock.
Q: Is it necessary to enter multiple remotes (for example) in OFSC with a quantity of 1 multiple times?
A: No. If you use multiple units of the same product, use the quantity field to enter the total number on a single line. This simplifies the process for the WHS team.
Q: Are Amazon Echo Dots serialized?
A: No. Although they possess a serial number, it is not required in OFSC for WHS to issue them from your van.
