Fedora Install - Quick Reference

Boot

Reboot and press F9 (HP ProBook boot menu) or F12 or Esc repeatedly
Select USB device from boot menu

Media Check

Should pass this time (we verified USB)
If still fails: different USB stick, re-do from scratch

Install

Select "Install to Hard Drive"
Language: English
Installation Destination: Select your NVMe drive, "Use entire disk" (wipes everything)
Encryption: Check "Encrypt my data"
- Enter strong passphrase (4-5 random words)
- Write it on paper NOW - store in physical safe later
- You'll need this passphrase at every boot
Create user: omaira (username) / full name: Omair Aslam
Set password (strong, remember it)
Wait for completion, reboot, remove USB

If Stuck

Take photo of screen
Reboot back to Ubuntu (remove USB, boot normally)
Share photo in chat

After Install

Boot into Fedora (enter LUKS passphrase when prompted)
Connect to WiFi/network

Set hostname:

sudo hostnamectl set-hostname omaira-probook
