Name of contact | |
"The mentor (or alum) I contacted is Daniel Glauser"

Outcome (i.e., did you get a response? If not, what is your follow-up plan? Did you meet? When? What was the result?)
I reached out to him asking for assistance on setting up a Clojure coding environment. He responded quite quickly and did his best to give me some pointers and point me in the right direction. We also discussed my specific interest in blockchain tech and he asked me to help him learn more so I provided him with what I consider to be the best info.
How do you feel like this relationship will benefit you in your longterm professional development?
He owns his own consultancy that specializes in Clojure. A large blockchain project that I want to eventually contribute to as open source uses Clojurescript for their front end. I think as I dive deeper into this language and maintain this relationship with Dan it could eventually result in a job using this language either with him or someone in the larger denver clojure community. I think aside from potential job opportunites, his knowledge in this space reflects his apptitude as a programmer and could prove invaluable as a mentor/teacher role. |
